All of our programs help to build a firm foundation for children to be lifelong learners, and as you already know, ensuring every child has access to high-quality early education opportunities is essential.

Starting in our infant and toddler programs we recognize the importance of healthy brain development. Our infant and toddler programs respond and support individual development and we provide environments that foster independent learning and safe exploration.

Room For Growing incorporates Bright Baby by High Reach Learning to enhance our infant curriculum. Baby’s first year is an exciting time with lots of exploration and discovery. The Bright Baby curriculum actively engage and stimulate infants through social interactions: talking, playing, singing, moving, reading and sign language.

In our toddler room, the children will begin pre-reading by using the Zoo Phonics program. They will learn phonics and play word games that eventually help them to become readers. Zoo Phonics helps children through animal sounds and movement games.

Our comprehensive preschool programs incorporates and follows High Scope Growing Readers Early Literacy and Language Curriculum and High Scope Numbers Plus- Preschool Mathematics Curriculum. The High Scope Curriculum uses an approach called “active participatory learning” – to achieve powerful, positive outcomes. The High Scope Preschool Curriculum helps young children excel in language and cognitive learning. It also promotes independence, curiosity, decision making, cooperation, persistence, creativity and problem solving. The preschool curriculum also includes Zoo Phonics that uses a whole language approach to help children with their vocabulary, articulation, proper grammar through stories, pictures and poems. All of these curriculum content areas prepare your child to be interested, strong readers, and prepare them for school.

Room For Growing provides parents with ongoing assessments of your child’s progress, and uses the Teaching Strategies Gold. It is an ongoing observational assessment that is instrumental to planning learning experiences and helping children thrive. The objectives are aligned with The Early Childhood Indicators Of Progress: Minnesota’s Early Learning Standards.

Room For Growing is also a nationally accredited program through the National Association for the Education of Young Children and Minnesota Parent Aware 4 Star Rated.
